Direct Air Capture COâ‚‚ capacity of planned projects worldwide 2020-2030, by stage
As of 2024, some *** Direct Air Capture (DAC) facilities were at various stages of development. Should all these projects advance, including those in the concept stage, DAC deployment would reach almost ** MtCOâ‚‚ per year by 2030. However, to get on track with the Net Zero Emissions by 2050 scenario, DAC deployment will need to reach ** MtCOâ‚‚ per year by 2030.
