The Nordes Project is the largest offshore wind power plant under development in Spain. As of June 2023 the project was in the announced stage and is expected to start operation in 2028. The Nordes offshore farm will have a capacity of *** gigawatts.
Almost all of the installed wind capacity in Spain is onshore. The largest operating wind power plant in the country is the Gecama Wind Project, located in the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha.
