According to a survey conducted among Hungarians familiar with the concept of artificial intelligence, the majority of respondents had heard about or used AI technology in video games, as of 2023. At the same time, 41 percent of the respondents had used chatbots and a further 32 percent of surveyed Hungarians had used a digital assistant.

AI in the public sector

When it comes to government implementation of AI, Hungary ranks with an index score of 61 percent, well above the global average of 44 percent. However, countries such as Estonia and Czechia take the lead in the Central Eastern European region.

Market growth of AI

AI is a rapidly growing industry, and its global market size could reach nearly two trillion U.S. dollars by 2030. In the CEE region, Hungary is among the top countries regarding market value predictions for the next six years, as the value of the AI market is expected to reach 1.5 billion dollars by 2030.
