More than 50 board directors were interviewed in each market, which included the United States, Canada, United Kingdom (UK), France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, Singapore, Japan, Brazil, and Mexico.

A 2023 survey revealed that ** percent of board members of companies active in business and professional services worldwide expect an increase in cybersecurity budget in the following 12 months. A similar share of board members of media, leisure, and entertainment companies also reported anticipating a budget increase. Among other sectors expecting an increase in cybersecurity spending were healthcare and energy, with ** percent of board members confirming it.
