According to a survey conducted in 2022, the share of Nigerian respondents with a willingness to visit their hometown during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr was higher than in 2021. In 2022, 68 percent reported planning to go back to their hometowns for the festivities compared to 55 percent in the previous year.
