According to a survey conducted in 2022, most CEOs in Africa were confident that measures put in place by the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) will boost intra-African trade. Specifically, while ** percent of the respondents were moderately confident, ** percent and ** percent were confident and very confident, respectively. In May 2019, the AfCFTA agreement officially entered into force, after ** African countries had ratified it.
