According to a survey conducted in selected Asian countries in February and March 2022, 80 percent of all Muslim respondents were planning to volunteer and help the community during Ramadan. India had the highest share of Muslim respondents who were planning to do charitable work during Ramadan, amounting to 94 percent. Comparatively, 66 percent of Muslim respondents in Malaysia planned to volunteer and help people during Ramadan in 2022.
