The COVID-19 pandemic brought up many challenges besides the health aspect, including transitioning to distance learning. In 2020, while nearly ** percent of the non indigenous households with minors had access to computers or tablets and the internet, only **** percent of indigenous households did so. Moreover, merely **** percent of indigenous households with children had cellphones and internet. Non indigenous households had advantage in access to all different information and communication technologies.
