As of April 2020, social media was used as distance learning platform by the majority of enrollees in primary (40.1 percent), middle (43.8 percent), and secondary schools (46 percent) in Moroccan households. Also, a larger proportion of household respondents with children in primary schools participated in learning activities remotely by means of national television channels (39.1 percent), whereas the platform was used by 28.8 percent and 11.1 percent of households with students in middle and secondary schools, respectively. Overall, the frequency of distance learning participation was found to be generally lower among households with enrollees in primary schools.
