Original question: 鈥淎s you may know, the European Union (EU) has banned Russian state-controlled media outlets RT and Sputnik to block disinformation from these outlets regarding Russia鈥檚 invasion of Ukraine. This means that content from RT, Sputnik, and their subsidiaries, cannot be broadcasted or shared on social media and their apps cannot be downloaded in EU countries. A survey conducted in March 2022 in the United States found that 60 percent of registered voters aged 65 years and over strongly supported social media companies banning content from Russian state-controlled media. Overall, only 34 percent of respondents in the 18 to 34 year age group felt the same. Additionally, 14 percent of respondents between the ages of 35 and 44 strongly opposed the banning of such content by social media companies in the United States.
