Based on a December 2021 survey, ** percent of large U.S. exploration and production firms planned to reduce methane emissions. The same survey also found that **** of all companies planned to reduce flaring. However, the majority of small firms said they had no plans to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions. Overall, larger firms had more mitigation plans compared to small firms.
