Washington state recorded the highest daily record high temperature during the heatwave in 2021. This was not only the state's record, but also the highest temperature in the Pacific Northwest region in the U.S. The Dallesport Airport weather station recorded the record high temperature of 118 degrees Fahrenheit on June 28, which is around 47.8 degrees Celsius. By comparison, the city of Seattle recorded a daily high of 108 degrees Fahrenheit, ten degrees below the Dallesport Airport's record.
