The United States experiences a wide range of weather phenomena across the country due to its geography, large area, and contrasting climate regimes. On top of that, rising temperatures are bringing about more extreme weather events that have been affecting a growing number of Americans in the past decades. For instance, more than 2,500 weather-related deaths were recorded between 2020 and 2024, with this figure expected to increase by the end of the decade.
