An online survey conducted in the United States in December 2021 asked registered voters if they supported the teaching of the benefits and risks of social media in schools. Overall, 52 percent of Democrats stated that they were strongly in favor of this and 31 percent of Republicans had the same opinion. Furthermore, 16 percent of Republican respondents and four percent of Democrat respondents were strongly opposed to the teaching of this current topic.
