In a survey conducted in September 2021 by among South Koreans on what kind of transactions they made using mobile applications, almost half of the respondents aged 25 to 34 years old had purchased public transport tickets, called a taxi or booked a travel-related service, such as flights or hotel rooms via mobile apps before. Across all age groups these transportation and travel purchases via applications were the most common.
