During the 2014 European elections, one could read on the leaflets of the Front National, since renamed Rassemblement National, "No to Brussels, yes to France!". Since then, Marine Le Pen has strongly amended her speech on the membership of France in the European Union, supporting now more a radical reform of the institutions rather than a complete exit. However, supporters of the far-right party are still mostly opposed to the country's membership in the EU. In 2024, ** percent considered EU membership to be a bad thing, compared to **Â percent the previous year, and ** percent in 2014.
