The Rassemblement National (RN), known as the Front National (FN) until 2018, is a French political party classified as far right on the French political scene and founded in 1972 at the initiative of Ordre nouveau. It was chaired by Jean-Marie Le Pen from its inception to 2011, then by his daughter Marine Le Pen.
