In October 2021, about a quarter of the people who voted for Marine Le Pen in 2017 and a quarter of those who had chosen Xavier Bertrand said they intended to vote for Eric Zemmour, the far-right polemicist, in the next presidential elections in April 2022. According to the poll, the main reason for the decision of Eric Zemmour's potential voters was that they shared his assessment of the situation in France.
