According to a survey conducted by in May 2021 in South Korea on Video-on-Demand (VoD) or streaming service subscriptions, roughly percent of female respondents answered that their reason for subscribing to a streaming service provider was the larger variety of programs compared to cable or satellite TV. Almost the same percentage of male respondents, percent of respondents, stated the same.
