In a field survey conducted between November 2016 and March 2017 across countries in Africa, it was revealed that ** percent of Chinese firms found in Nigeria were privately owned, while the rest were owned by the state. In this West African country, a total of ***Chinese firms were counted in the same period. Moreover, of the *** firms found in Tanzania, ** of them had private ownership, while ** percent had government ownership. According to the source, more than 10,000 businesses could have been operated by the Chinese in the overall Africa region as of the same period.
