The survey question was posed as follows: "Using a scale from 1 to 7 like in the school, where 1 means "no trust" and 7 "a lot of trust", how much trust do you have in the Constitutional Convention?" (Usando una escala de 1 a 7 como en el colegio, donde 1 es “nada de confianza” y 7 es “mucha confianza”, ¿Cuánta confianza tiene usted en la Convención Constituyente?)

According to such a scale, a mark of 1 to 4 meant little or no trust, and 5 to 7 meant a lot or some trust.

Citation formats

The level of trust in the newly-established Chilean Constitutional Convention decreased between July and November, recovering in the following months. As of March 4, 2022, 50 percent of those surveyed had a lot or some trust in the aforementioned body, the lowest trust point since December 2021.

The Constitutional Convention met for the first time in July 2021 and was established in order to draft a new constitution for the South American country and replace the one in force since 1980, approved during the dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet.
