The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic disrupted normal travel in 2020, with governments worldwide imposing emergency restrictions and stay-at-home orders to contain the rise in infections. In 2021, several countries started to discuss the idea of introducing vaccine passports for international travel, allowing vaccinated people to travel abroad, as a way of relaunching the tourism industry during the pandemic. According to an April 2021 study, ** percent of the survey sample in Indonesia backed this solution. Meanwhile, ** percent of U.S. respondents approved the idea of relying on vaccine passports for international travel, while only ** percent of Polish respondents thought the same.
