Electricity is the most used residential heating type in Arizona. In 2022, roughly 60.2 percent of occupied housing units in the state were reliant on electricity for heating. Utility gas was the second most popular residential heating fuel type. Both fuels combined accounted for roughly 93 percent of Arizona's residential heating consumption.
