As the popularity of social media has been growing in the past few years, the source wanted to assess how often and in which circumstances French teenagers aged between 11 and 18 years old used private browsing when accessing the Internet. In 2019, about 15 percent of all girls surveyed used private browsing everytime they accessed the internet. Boys, on the other hand, were ten percent more likely than girls to use private browsing only for certain purposes.
