In 2019, many people in France used the mobile application of their bank in order to consult their account statements online or to execute transfers. This use of dematerialized banking services involves the communication of certain personal data to the bank in question. Although users tend to be aware of the banks' access to their data, the majority of them were reluctant to have this data used by the banks so that they could offer them better deals.
