Online and mobile banking usage has increased in recent years. In 2020, the COVID-19 crisis appears to have accelerated this trend as bank branches temporarily closed and customers were told to limit contacts with people. As a result, in the United States, ** percent of bank customers signed up for their banks' mobile banking services and ** percent enrolled in online banking.
