In 2020, 2.6 percent of all workers in the European Union worked for a temporary agency, compared with 1.9 percent in 2018 and 2017. The percentage of European workers that are working for temporary agencies has gradually increased, with some fluctuations since 2009 when the share of temporary agency workers was 1.4 percent.
