The European Union Labour Force Survey (EU-LFS) provides population estimates for the main labour market characteristics, such as employment, unemployment, inactivity, hours of work, occupation, economic activity and other labour related variables, as well as important socio-demographic characteristics, such as sex, age, education, household characteristics and regions of residence.
Data coverage corresponds to ISCO 88 (COM) and ISCO 08 (from 2011) for occupation.
The number of temporary employees in the United Kingdom has been fluctuating between the first quarter of 2015 and the second quarter of 2020. It reached its high point in the third quarter of 2015 at some *** million temporary employees. After a low point in the second quarter of 2019, the number slightly increased to approximately **** million employees in the second quarter of 2020.
