The survey was conducted among 2,840 female and 2,429 male respondents. Other surveyed countries included China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam.

According to a survey by in April 2020, ** percent of Thai respondents stated that they did not engage in panic buying as they trusted that there would be enough supplies in the supermarket during the COVID-19 pandemic. The survey also explored reasons for making bulk purchases and it revealed that ** percent of Thai respondents did so as they feared being quarantined soon and would not be able to buy groceries.
