According to a survey conducted in March 2020, 78 percent of respondents in Brazil only leave their homes when absolutely necessary, for example, to buy food or go to the bank. Moreover, seven out of ten respondents said they stopped going to the mall or to parks, whereas 68 percent were no longer eating out in restaurants or snack bars. When it comes to shopping behavior, 27 percent of respondents said that they bought more healthy and nutritious food than usual, while 22 percent were purchasing more cleaning products.
