The list includes the answers of respondents who declared to have knowledge of Poland's role in World War II.

Public opinion on the Soviet Union conquest of the CEE countries during WWII 2020
In 2020, 80 percent of respondents from the UK believed that the Soviet Union (Russia) had conquered Central and Eastern Europe by fighting against Germany. Similar opinions were held by 77 percent of French and German people and three out of four Italian residents (75 percent). In Poland, the percentage of affirmative answers was 87 percent.
United Surveys recalls that the defeat of Germany, the main initiators of the outbreak of World War II, and the victory of Russia, Great Britain, the USA, and the allied countries opened the way for the liberation of the whole Europe from the yoke of Nazism. A few years after the end of the war, the Berlin Wall was built, and a cold war began between Western capitalist Europe and communist Central and Eastern Europe.
