The list includes the answers of respondents who declared to have knowledge of Poland's role in World War II.

Citation formats

When asked whether Poland and Poles were victims of World War II, in none of the countries surveyed did the percentage of affirmative answers fall below 85 percent. All surveyed Poles and 97 percent of British people described Poland and its inhabitants as victims of war. A similar view was expressed by 88 percent of French and 85 percent of Italian and German respondents each.

During one of December's (2019) press conferences, Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested that Poland was complicit in the outbreak of World War II. The Russian President also tried to whitewash the actions of the Soviet Union during that conflict.
