Less than six months before the first voting round, the candidacies for the 2022 presidential elections seem to be piling up in France.
On the left of the political spectrum, Nathalie Arthaud for the Lutte Ouvrière party and Philippe Poutou for the Nouveau parti Anticapitaliste are running for the third time in the presidential race. The same goes for Jean-Luc Mélenchon, leader of La France Insoumise. Fabien Roussel is running for the Parti Communiste Français and Gérard Filoche for the Gauche Démocratique et Sociale party.
Anne Hidalgo and Olivier Le Foll are also candidates for the nomination of the Parti Socialiste. Yannick Jadot, winner of the Europe Ecologie - Les Verts primary, will represent the ecologists.
Regarding these candidates of the more moderate left, if the French had to decide in favor of the withdrawal of one of them, they would prefer Anne Hidalgo to withdraw in favor of Yannick Jadot (with the exception of supporters of the Parti Socialiste).
