This chart displays the main reasons for French teenagers to use a smartphone to communicate with their parents in 2018. For eight out of ten teenagers, the primary reason for using a smartphone to communicate with their parents was to warn them in case of a problem. More than half of teenagers were using their smartphones to warn in case of a delay or to reassure their parents, whereas 38 percent of French teens use their smartphones to ask their parents for information.
