In October 2019, Pacific Gas and Electricity (PG&E) began a series of power shutoffs in order to prevent igniting wildfires through power lines. These rolling blackouts would impact some ** customers that were located in several Bay Area counties in California as well as Northern and Central California. It was estimated that roughly * customers were impacted by the deliberate power shutdowns in Napa County.
