Florida Power & Light Co. is the largest utility in the United States based on electricity sales. In 2023, it supplied over 127 terawatt-hours of electricity to its customers in its namesake state. Virginia Electric & Power Co. sold almost 86 terawatt-hours of electricity, making it the second largest U.S. utility. Florida Power & Light is also the largest U.S. utility by number of consumers.
