As of 2018, over ** percent of Norwegian internet users had heard of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), a regulation in EU law on privacy and data protection. More than half had received e-mails asking for consent from parties which they were not aware had their data. Less than ** percent of Norwegians had not heard of GDPR as of June and July, 2018.
