Respondents came from national samples from each country. The quota approach was employed to ensure that the sample was representative of gender and age.

Data might not equal 100 percent due to rounding.

Results include the share of respondents who chose "completely agree" or "somewhat agree" as "agree" and respondents choosing "somewhat disagree" or "completely disagree" as "disagree".

*The source conducted 3,000 interviews in France and 800 in each of the other countries. The respondent count provided is the overall respondent count, 62 percent of these respondents in Germany knew of government grants in their country, with 54 percent of respondents in Spain, 66 percent of respondents in France, 29 percent of respondents in Norway, 28 percent of respondents in the UK, and 51 percent of respondents in the Netherlands also aware of these national initiatives.

Citation formats

According to a survey conducted in 2023, the majority of participants in selected European countries believe EV government grants are not sufficiently well-known or publicized enough, with the exception of respondents in the United Kingdom and Norway. France had the highest proportion of respondents who believed public knowledge about EV government grants is insufficient, at a rate of ** percent.
