According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2025, around **** percent of respondents stated that Naver Webtoon was one of their main sources for reading digital comics. Naver Webtoon was translated and launched globally as Line Webtoon and focuses on webtoons, a type of digital comics that originated in South Korea. Other popular digital comic services included Kakao Page and Naver Series, the latter of which mainly differentiates itself from Naver Webtoon by also offering web novels and e-books.
