According to a survey conducted across 28 countries in 2024, around ** percent of respondents stated that they considered the coverage of various genres or topics as well as the well-structured and solid stories to be a leading reason for the popularity of Korean webtoons worldwide. Other commonly reported reasons were the realistic and delicate graphics as well as webtoons often being the original works behind popular K-drama or movie adaptations.
