As of 2019 the majority of HR professionals who participated in the Whitepaper on Feedback Culture in Dutch Organizations indicated that the use of feedback tools had a positive impact on the motivation of employees within their organization. Close to 65 percent of survey respondents either agreed or strongly agreed that the tool was improving levels of employee motivation, while the share of respondents who disagreed was less than five percent. The source adds the following definition: "By feedback we understand the information given by a person (manager, colleague, customer etc.) verbally or via another medium (360 degrees feedback, apps, etc.) about aspects of someone's performance or working behavior, with the aim of enhancing that person's work performance.
