The original question posed on the survey was: '¿Qué tan favorable o desfavorable es su opinión del presidente electo de Brasil Jair Messias Bolsonaro?'

Citation formats

In October 2018, three out of four Latin American opinion leaders and journalists disapproved of Jair Bolsonaro as president of Brazil, on average. Journalists in Brazil, particularly, were the most favorable to Bolsonaro in the Latin American region. However, all the Colombian opinion leaders surveyed said they had an unfavorable opinion regarding the, at that time, Brazilian presidential candidate.
The Uruguayan president Tabaré Vázquez received the highest approval rate by journalists in the region.
