European Union aid to Ukraine - statistics & facts
Since the onset of the Russian-Ukraine war in February of 2022, the European Union has become the second-largest provider of aid to Kyiv, surpassed only by the United States. The EU’s role has gained even greater significance amid uncertainty over U.S. foreign policy following Donald Trump’s re-election and his stance on Ukraine. In this context, the EU and its leaders have played a pivotal part in sustaining and strengthening support for Ukraine, particularly during the recent talks in Washington between President Zelensky and Trump on ending the war.
