Cosmetic procedures in Brazil - Statistics & Facts
Brazilian society places a particular importance on beauty standards. After the United States, Brazil is the second country with the highest share of plastic procedures and plastic surgeons worldwide. In 2022, the number of surgical interventions carried out in the South American country surpassed three million. That year, surgical interventions made up two-thirds of the total volume, with over two million surgeries. In contrast, non-surgical cosmetic procedures totaled close to one million interventions. That constitutes the third-largest market for non-surgical cosmetic procedures in the world.
