Among the world鈥檚 10 leading media companies, eight are based in the United States. The country has always been known for its propensity to cater to the entertainment market, so it is not surprising the big three media companies hail from there and continue to rank highly in terms of revenue. Alphabet, Meta, and Comcast, collectively generated over half a trillion euros in 2024 鈥 more than the amount that the European governments spent to tackle the energy crisis plaguing the region two years earlier.
