Data excludes Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania prior to 1985, and Croatia and Slovenia prior to 1990. Figures for 2020 onwards exclude the United Kingdom.
In 1965, the European Union's generation of nuclear energy amounted to *** terawatt-hours. By 2005, this had increased to a peak of approximately terawatt-hours. Since then, nuclear energy generation has generally been in decline, and by 2024 it had fallen to *terawatt-hours.
