The sample size for urban dwellers was 29,557, rural residents 19,023; male sample size was 23,577 while female sample size was 25,003. The data was collected on one weekday and one weekend day, where subjects were asked to record activities in 15-minute intervals.
Employment work refers to activities for obtaining labor compensation or operating income. It includes full-time job, part-time job, apprenticeships or internships, short breaks or interruptions at work, entrepreneurial activities, and paid training or study related to work activities. This does not include family production and management activities.
Household production and management activities based on one household as an unit refer to production and management activities for the purpose of income or self-sustaining, including agriculture (planting), animal husbandry, fisheries, other primary production and operating activities, agricultural and by-products processing, and home building activities, as well as external sales of goods, maintenance and installation, passenger and cargo transportation, family business activities through the internet (such as opening online stores, micro stores), operating paid family services.
