This statistic shows the results of a survey conducted in 2016 on the attitude of Swedes towards keeping or disestablishing the monarchy, by gender. During the survey period, roughly 70 percent of female respondents wanted to keep the monarchy in Sweden. 61 percent of male respondents stated the same. 19 percent of the female and 28 percent of the male Swedes that participated in the survey wanted the monarchy to be disestablished.
