Per capita wine consumption has fallen significantly in France since the 1960s.
In almost 60 years, the French have reduced their wine consumption by more than half. On average, a French person now consumes around 41 liters of wine per year. However, since 2020, French people have been increasing their consumption per capita and in 2021 it amounted to 47.3 liters.
