Even if this park hasn’t been faring particularly high in matters of visitors, the Disney segment responsible for the parks and resorts keeps on reporting ever-increasing annual revenues since 2009. In its latest report, the annual revenue for this segment amounted to billion US dollars in 2018. Globally speaking, the conglomerate Walt Disney Company also registers a stable and positive development of its revenue: billion US dollars for the second quarter of 2019.

The Shanghai Disneyland Park: A Tourist drain for other Disney Theme Parks?

The opening of new Disney resorts seems to attract more visitors by offering them the possibility of visiting a geographically closer park. This seems to be the case for Asian tourists, most notably Chinese.
